A Spitfire in the markings of RAF aircraft tail number FL-A flew over the funeral of Jim Robinson, the last surviving Kiwi WW2 Spitfire pilot and the last combat pilot of the real FL-A.
Interestingly, the markings are a coincidence - the owner only recently found out that Robinson had flown the Spit whose
markings
he’d chosen to replicate.
The radio interview with his son is worth 5 minutes of your time if planes are your thing: fascinating insight into the less glamorous aspects of life as a fighter pilot

That’s an awesome tribute and an interesting coincidence.
